FELTasticFlower

I love Needle & Wet Felting because I can create from scratch "raw wool" to end product.

But, I also love how fast & easy to create beautiful accessories with commercial ecofelt too!

  1. Hey Ceci, will wet felt take longer/ more effort than cOmmercial wool!?
Keep it up, each of them is just so adorable. ;)

  2. Yes indeed! It definitely requires more efforts with wet felt as we need to start from scratch. It will take at least 30 minutes just to make a piece of A4 paper-size of wool fabric. It starts from laying out the raw wool fibres evenly (minimum 4-6 layers), then wet felt with hot soapy water, then lots of rubbing in circular motion, & then rolling & rolling & rolling...BUT you know the material is natural & handmade from the beginning till the end. I truly enjoy the process of creation.
As for commercial felt, they are not really made of wool. The one I use for the FELTasticFlower was made of recycle bottles! Well, it's still eco-friendly, but just doesn't feel the same :) Thanks Rachel~
